Learn More About Sasha Bakhru

Sasha Bakhru has worked towards engineering a microcapsule-based platform for investigating the influence of various biochemical and topographical cues on expansion and differentiation. He has employed a methylated collagen, prepared by esterification of a small fraction of the carboxylic acid groups of glutamic and aspartic acid residues on native porcine collagen, and synthetic terpolymer, poly(HEMA:MAA:MMA) to generate microcapsules by complex coascrevation at the interface of droplets of methylated collagen solutions containing stem cell suspensions and receiving baths of terpolymer solutions.
